This is a watercolor of a wildflower native to Florida since the time Ponce de Leon landed in Florida. I painted this as part of a 500 year celebration of Florida's flora in cooperation with Miami International University.

Marcy Brennan is a multi-media artist, illustrator, and surface pattern designer. She has been painting her entire adult life part time but since retiring July 2021, she is now a full time professional artist.
